The Human Impact on Plant Evolution: Traditional Breeding & Genetic Engineering

February 13, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

In our ag-driven state of Nebraska, plants and their characteristics, such as drought tolerance, are critical to our economy and our daily lives, from the mega-farm scale right down to our backyard gardens. Join us in celebration of Darwin’s work in evolution and learn how we have shaped plants historically and how we are doing it today. Just what does ‘GMO’ mean anyway?

Our Darwin Day Speaker will be Leah Sandall, Assistant Professor of Practice Department of Agronomy & Horticulture.
