Evolution & Ecology of Lungfishes

Join Cornell Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Willy Bemis as he explores the evolution and ecology of lungfishes. Lungfishes are a fascinating kind of fish that arose in the Devonian period, over 350 million years ago, and are still around today, they’re the closest living relatives to the first land vertebrates.

The talk will be given live at the Tompkins County Public Library and will also be available via a live Zoom webinar; a link to join live will be sent after registration. The event will also be broadcast on PRI’s YouTube Channel
