Duquesne University’s annual celebration of the life and work of Charles Darwin will feature Dr. Simon Garnier of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and his talk “Of Swarms and Slimes”. Nature produces an incredible array of intelligent behaviors— some that go beyond a single brain, and some without a brain at all. Join us, as Dr. Garnier explores the evolutionary origins of of cognition, from ants cooperating as a “superorganism” to the amazing feats of the brainless slime molds.
