NDSU Darwin Day 2018: Evolution events throughout the day on February 9 from 10-5.
The Hall of Biodiversity is a science and evolution museum featuring specimens from Geosciences, Biosciences, Entomology, and Anthropology. Count the neck bones on a giraffe skeleton, compare the “teeth” of a narwhal, a Tyrannosaurus rex, and an extinct cave bear. Learn about bee diversity in ND. Observe live reptiles and carnivorous plants, explore your own evolution at our hominin exhibit, and much more.

For the last six decades, a dedicated team of researchers in Siberia has been domesticating silver foxes to replay the evolution of the dog in real time. In his book, author Dugatkin, a biologist and science historian, helped co-author and lead scientist on the project, Lyudmila Trut, tell the inside story of the science, politics, adventure and love behind it all.
Dugatkin is a professor and University Scholar in the University of Louisville biology department. He’s authored more than 150 articles on evolution and behavior, as well as several popular books.
