The Norman naturalism Group celebrates Darwin Day 2017 with a pot-luck dinner and speaker. The topic is “The Evolution of Religion”.
Pull out your best recipe and get ready for some more good eating and good talking. 😉
Please bring a potluck dinner item, finger foods, drinks, etc, but hey, please come without if you don’t have time. (Please post what you’re bringing in the comments below.) We probably won’t eat till 5:30 or 6:00, so don’t worry about being exactly on time. After dinner, those that wish can settle down and hear the speaker and have some discussion. Last time was GREAT and I’m really looking forward to this event!
This month’s speakers will be our very own Tomoko Yoshida and Stephen Weldon (OU History of Science program). They will lead a discussion on the idea of the evolution of religion.
Speaker: Tomoko Yoshida and Stephen Weldon
Topic: The Evolution of Religion!
What does it mean to talk about evolving religion? Is it just change, is there a direction to it? Is modern secular society the most recent stage in religious evolution?
Bring your ideas and opinions and be prepared to discuss! 🙂
Here are some other perspectives on the evolution of religion:

Hope to see you there!
