In commemoration of Charles Darwin’s birthday and his contributions to science, celebrated by the Central Colorado Humanists (CCH) at this time each year, CCH will present a 50-minute video entitled “Ghost in your Genes” at 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 12 at the Salida Community Center, followed by discussion and light refreshments…including birthday cake and ice cream! Please join us for this free public gathering.
Summary of the film: Scientists have long puzzled over the different fates of identical twins: both have the same genes, yet only one may develop a serious disease like cancer or autism. What’s going on? Does something else besides genes determine who we are? The film explores this startling possibility.
