10 th Annual Darwin Day Dinner Southern Connecticut: What, if anything, makes humans unique?

February 10, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$64

Join us for cocktail hour, dinner, science quiz (with prizes!), and presentation by Yale Cognitive Science expert Mark Sheskin (on the above topic) !
Banquet tables collaborate and enter a science quiz. No prior training is required to enjoy this social event. Winners will earn fame, prizes, and accolades — one more reason the Annual Darwin Day Dinner remains the best science party this side of the Kuiper Belt!
The event is open to the public, all are welcome, and everyone will likely go home smarter.
There are many ideas about what, if anything, might make humans very different from other animals. Possibilities include language, general intelligence, cumulative culture, and large-scale cooperation. Sheskin will discuss how humans compare to other animals in each of these domains.
Reservation form for February 2018 will soon be up at www.darwindayct.org Or reserve directly.
