SUMMARY:Darwin Days Virtual Presentation - Incredible Insects - Ants\, Plants\, and Bacteria: Symbiosis as a Driver of Evolution
DESCRIPTION:Ants engage in symbiotic relationships with a diversity of species. In this virtual presentation Dr. Moreau will share some of her research using a myriad of tools to study the important interactions ants have with plants and bacteria. \nDr. Corrie Moreau is a professor\, and Curator of the Insect Collection in the Department of Entomology at Cornell University. \nThis year on February 6 – 12\, the Paleontological Research Institution (PRI) and its Museum of the Earth will hold events for “Darwin Days\,” the annual celebration of the life and ideas of Charles Darwin. This year\, PRI is collaborating with Cornell University’s entomology department to offer virtual and in person events exploring the world of insects.
